A long, long time ago when I was in school, I remembered my easiest (but not favorite) subject was English. It was easy because it wasn't something I had to study. It was not my favorite because for me, it was really, really boring.
My weakness came in the form of a nasty subject called Add. Maths. I remember my old Maths teacher, Ms. Ho (then replaced by Pn Manokari). I have problems recalling many teachers back then but Ms Ho was something else. She taught hard stuff and I thought I understood things as clear as a bell....until came the exams. I could only write down the formula correctly, and something would surely screw up my application. I loved my teacher, but I hated the subject.
Then came SPM ... 1994 ...
The night before SPM English...I went to bed early, and I had a dream that I was in the exam hall. When I received my question script, I opened it and in horror, realized it was all Add Maths questions. I wasn't ready yet, I haven't studied for Add Maths! Did I read the timetable wrong??!
I woke up in cold sweat.
In case you are wondering what sort of dream I had the night before Add Maths... I can remember that clearly too.
I had a dream that I was in a coffin, people were lowering me to the ground and everyone was reading Yassin. Seriously, I'm not kidding!!
Aftermath, I managed to squeeze a credit for Add Maths, though not a strong one. I managed to get into Law Matriculation as I had always wanted, but dropped out and re-entered Science. And now I'm a teacher. And definately NOT teaching Add Maths .... ;)
