CHICKEN DRIVE

I have been trying to fix something up with my old pals so that I could go to Bob's wedding  in Lahad Datu on the 20th. My bad. I was sure it was supposed to be earlier. It wouldn't be a problem if my better half wasn't going on a fishing trip on the same day! *sob, sob* Everyones going to be there and my trusty driver is away on a fishing trip!!

I could convoy with some other old uni friends.... that too if they're not planning to stay overnight, as they are planning a reunion the next day.

I cant stay overnight in LD.  My paper starts the next day , on the 21st. Early. In the morning.

"LD is a dangerous place to drive , after sunset"
"Banyak kes!!"
"Road pirates....."
"Amazingly big and deep potholes !"

Many a stories I did hear this past week. And I'm still wondering how I managed to mix the dates up :( . Erghh,... Bob said putus sedara kalau tak pergi ni. But I've never driven to LD , let alone by myself. What if I sesat kat tengah hutan? It didn't seem 'towney' to me the last time passed there on the the way to Tawau 2 years ago.....

I'm a chicken, no doubt. I hate driving. When I was in KL, I admit I only knew how to drive when I was younger and more reckless. After settling down, I only knew how to drive to and through home, work, vice versa. Anywhere else was the cab. I suck terribly behind the wheel, and for a self professed KL-ian, it is my greatest shame and disgrace. Well, who asked DBKL to change the roads direction of flow so constantly. It confuses people into trauma.

A traumatized driver. Haha. That would be a good one.

Then a good friend of mine, Jane called. She told me she was going to the wedding alone. Naik flight from KK, no overnight stay because the following day kena invigilate SPM.

OMG. What a rotten person I must be if I am just 3 hours away and can't make time for my friends.

Will ask hubby one more time for permission. Will be out by the crack of dawn. I can do this. I WILL do this. I will survive! :/
